Jasmine Aherne
 
Jasmine is currently studying at Manchester Metropolitan University for a Masters Degree in Poetry and Novel Crafting. She lives in Cardiff with her partner.

Jasmine won a competition in 2006 held by www.poetry.com. Her poem was awarded a bronze medal and was included in a compilation book. She is a voracious reader and her favourite genres are fantasy and romance.
 
 

 
John Collings
 
Several of John's plays have been produced in the past, including The Room, which played at the Lost Theatre in Fulham and Waste, at the Lion & Unicorn Theatre in London and Contact Theatre in Manchester. John's musical Mrs Molly Sweet was produced in Brighton and Eastbourne in 2007.
 
John has attended numerous workshops and is currently running a fortnightly workshop for budding playrights. He is working on new musicals, Penny Black and a second which is based on the last seven day's of the life of Jesus Christ.
 
 

 
Alan Devey
 
Born the year punk broke, Alan Devey is the Co-Creator and Contributing Editor of popular satirical webzine Home Defence. His first published novel, a romantic comedy called Wallfloweresque, is available via The London Press / Amazon. He will write for chips.
 
 

 
Michael Donohue 
 
Originally from Co. Kildare in Ireland, Michael studied Arts in University College Dublin before taking up a scholarship at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York.

His poetry has been published in New York’s Vice Magazine and on Soma Soma Scene, Quentin Crisp’s Homepage and New Voice Writing Magazine on the Web.

His short story, The Skylark, has been broadcast on DSC Radio in Dublin. He was shortlisted for The Hennessey 2007, Ireland’s premier new writing prize for his short story, A Hotel in Mayfair.

Michael lives in London and reads regularly at The Poetry Café. He has recently completed his first novel.
 
 

 
Arthur Morgan
 
Arthur wanted to write from a young age but took has taken an unlikely path doing work as a butcher and an electronic engineer. He then went to college and completed a degree in Culture and became a freelance writer, working mainly on corporate titles and some pieces for women's magazines.
 
His short story, The Chicken Liver Conspiracy, was performed as a one-man play. He has published four novels and sub-edited some heavyweight global magazines. Arthur also edited three online B2B portals and ran a theatre for nine months and is now seeking to get back in to writing full time again.
 
 

 
Carlos Navarro 
 
Born in Havana, Cuba, immigrated to the United States at age 15, served in the U.S. Navy and Marines, earned a Ph.D. in mathematics, taught at various universities, went into business for himself as a home-improvement subcontractor and home-schooled his children.

In the past two years, 2007-2008, he has penned 18 short stories, a novel, and two screenplays -- all based on true-life experiences -- and started a blog, The Gadfly, on political and social issues.

Prior to that, he wrote a column on public education for the Alexandria, Virginia, Gazette-Packet, occasional op-ed pieces for the Washington Post, and a series of educational workbooks for children, The Start Smart Books.

Carlos resides in Davidson, North Carolina, with his wife, Judith.
 
 

 
Peter Oram
 
Born in and brought up in Dover, Kent, Peter joined the RAF where he worked on various types of aircraft until 1970 when he left the RAF and started a new career designing and building the control systems for special purpose machinery. For the last 12 years he has also been writing the technical documentation that is required for the machinery.
 
Now semi-retired, Peter still writes some occasional technical documents but has decided to try his hand at fiction. Whatever Happened to Yesterday? is his first short story and Teleport is his first novel. Both are science-fiction and more are on the way.
